Our History
mertinsdykehome was opened in June 1998 by Garry Mertins and J. Dyke as a further development of Garry Mertins Design, Inc. and a creative outlet for Attorney, J. Dyke.
The original store named mertinsdyke – furniture – artifacts – accessories was located in two thirds of 1800 North Pierce at the corner of Cantrel and North Pierce. The store grew into two locations with the addition of mertisdyke cottage at 2809 Kavanaugh in December 1999. In January of 2001, the stores were combined into an expanded space taking the entire building at 1800 North Pierce and was renamed mertinsdykehome. The store was moved in June of 2002 across town to a 6,000 square foot store in Chenal Place shopping center. That location was expanded to 9,000 square feet in September 2005.
The store moved to its current location of 1500 Rebsamen Park road in December 2007 after extensive rennovation of the old Cordel’s Deli.
