To show retailers how durable their chairs were  American manufacturer L.J. Gascho demonstrated with a 9,000-pound John Deere tractor. With the help of hydraulics, Gascho sat the trailer on top of two chairs from his new Saber Collection. The chairs held the weight of the tractor for 15 minutes before it was lowered. Everyone loves a good piece of furniture by Hickory Chair so we are never surprised when we find it throughout interior designs everywhere. One of its latest appearances is in the home office of the 2010 Dream Home by the Design Center at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago,Illinois. This dream home is different from others because all the designs had to be eco-friendly. By turning to Hickory Chair the designer was able to find two pieces that were stylish, comfortable and sustainable. The Camp Chair with its certified sustainable American hardwood frame and leather upholstery were chosen for the office. The sophisticated chair shows you don’t have to lose any style to have sustainable furniture.
